The Beginning

Starting your own business never works out how you think it will. In 2016 I started on a journey to create skincare products for myself. There was a gap in the market for natural skincare that was not astronomically expensive! So I did my research and decided to start making my own products. I had the tools and I had the determination to create something that worked for me.

After many trials with ingredients, distributors, methods, and storage I came up with my whipped body frosting. This is an all over moisturizer that leaves my skin feeling silky almost immediately after application. It contains raw shea butter, avocado oil and coconut oil. The combination of these ingredients provides long lasting moisturization.

After enjoying my products personally, I thought it would be a great idea to give this product as a gift the following Christmas. My whipped body frosting was a big hit! My girlfriends could not stop raving about how my whipped body frosting left them feeling silky smooth and hella moisturized. One of my girlfriends made the suggestion that I try selling this product.

My first reaction was that there was no way I could possibly manage a side business with the demands of my day job. But I was curious. What if if was not too much too mange? I could use the extra cash and I just enjoy making this body frosting. So I took to the internet and decided to research packaging ideas and the best way to create a website.

After a few months of ordering different kinds of packaging, shopping website hosts, and experimenting with new products I launched Rebelle Naturelle. I haven’t looked back since.

Fast forward to the present and I am still here making products in small batches for women that desire natural skincare and care about the origin of the raw ingredients that make up what they buy. I will continue to source my ingredients responsibly and put my best energy into every jar and bottle that I produce. This has been an exciting journey of ups and downs but I am still here and I still believe in these products like i Believe in you!

Check out our Ingredients page for more details about what you will find in Rebelle Naturelle products.

Shea butter used in Rebelle Naturelle products is sourced from Baraka. Baraka believes that business can and should be a force for good, integrating social value, business value, and environmental stewardship.

My philosophy is that I want to empower women at every point along the Rebelle Naturelle pipeline, be they a shea producer, herbalist, or consumer.  I want women to recognize they are in control, whether that means providing them a fair price for their labor in producing raw shea butter, or giving women the opportunity to buy a beauty product that is not loaded with potentially carcinogenic chemicals.

My promise to you is that I will continue to source my shea butter and other raw materials ethically and help to support women who may not otherwise have a reliable or safe way to earn money for themselves and their families.
